Looks like The Handmaid’s Tale may come to an end soon, after executives behind the blockbuster series have hinted at its conclusion.

The TV show, adapted from Margaret Atwood’s best-selling dystopian novel of the same name, stars Elisabeth Moss of Mad Men fame as Offred, the rebellious protagonist in the repressive state of Gilead.

The fourth season of the show aired a few months ago with an explosive season finale, prompting fans to question how many more seasons are in store for the record-breaking program.

An executive at production company Hulu Jordan Helman told Deadline the show is currently in talks for season five.

“The success of The Handmaid’s Tale remains paramount for us,” Helman said.

“That said, what is also most important to us is that we close out that show in creative fashion that feels organic so we are in constant communication, literally right now, talking with Bruce [Miller], Lizzie [Moss] and Warren [Littlefield], about what the best way to end The Handmaid’s Tale is.”

Helman clarified the producers “haven’t landed on an answer,” but will be hoping to find one “in the coming months.”

Hulu revealed impressive viewership data for the fourth series installment, noting the show’s viewership has grown with each season.
