The scandal that rocked the US will soon be revisited on the small screen, Impeachment: American Crime Story.
A trailer for the latest offering in the hit anthology series was dropped today, giving viewers a first look at Beanie Feldstein in the role of Monica Lewinsky — the White House intern who infamously had an affair with then-US President Bill Clinton.
In the new teaser, Feldstein — who is the sister of comedian Jonah Hill — is seen opposite famed whistleblower Linda Tripp (played by Sarah Paulson), the women facing off in a hallway of the White House’s West Wing.
“The president kissed me,” Feldstein says in character in a voiceover, with Paulson’s Tripp replying, “Tell me everything.”
As Lewinsky declares her love for Clinton, Tripp advises the young intern to keep her now-infamous “blue dress” as it would “be smart to keep that, uncleaned, in your possession”. Watch the above video for more.

The series is based on a true story that took place in Washington D.C. in 1995, when President Clinton had a secret affair with a 22-year-old intern. According to the synopsis, the series will dramatise “the national crisis that led to the first impeachment of a US President in over a century” told through the eyes of Lewinsky, Tripp and civil servant Paula Jones, who filed a sexual harassment suit against Clinton.
Clive Owen will play the president while The Sopranos star Edie Falco will play former First Lady Hillary Clinton.
New artwork was also released alongside the teaser trailer, with Feldstein sharing the new poster on her Instagram.
“Every side has a story,” the 28-year-old actress captioned the image of herself in character looking at the White House.
And working with Paulson is a dream come true for Feldstein, she said.
“If you know the story, [Lewinsky and Tripp] are best friends and then one deeply betrays the other one, [Paulson’s character] betrays me and I just couldn’t be more excited to play that out with the person I think to be one of the best actors of all time. And she’s just so funny and warm and giving, so to take this journey with her is going to be really exciting,” Fedlestein said in 2019 during an interview for Variety‘s Actors on Actors special.
