Karl Stefanovic has spent some quality father-son time with Jackson.
The Today Show host and his 21-year-old son bonded over Wednesday night’s State of Origin Game 1, supporting the Queensland Maroons at a local pub in Sydney.

“Queenslanders do their homework. At the pub. That’s the difference,” Karl captioned his post. “Jacko and I reckon by a slim 40 points tonight.”
But friends and fans flocked to the comments to show their support for the other team.
“Sorry mate but you’re wearing the wrong colours 💙💙💙💙💙,” personal trainer Michelle Bridges wrote, referring to the NSW Blues.
Anthony Field, aka the Blue Wiggle, simply commented, “Blues!”
On Today yesterday, tension was high before the big game, which saw the Blues reach a record 50-6 victory against the Maroons. Origin and Blues legend Benny Elias made a cheeky quip towards Karl, a proud Queenslander.

“I almost remember when NSW won the last game with Benny Elias back in 1968,” Karl said, jokingly.
But Elias hit back at Karl: “He’s not a maroon, he’s a moron. He’s had way too much coffee this morning.”
The Blues take a 1-0 lead in the 2021 Origin series, leaving plenty of work for the Maroons ahead of Game 2 in Brisbane.
