To refresh your memory: In June 2017, pop star Kesha was being interviewed on the red carpet when she saw the superstar comedian and ran up to him for a hug.
Jerry politely declined. Not once — but three times!
Fast forward to 2021 and the ‘Rainbow’ singer has relived the ordeal in a hilarious video, which played her song ‘Praying’.
Seinfeld has since given an explanation to the whole situation saying he had no idea who the young woman was that had approached him.
“I’m 63, I don’t know every pop star,” he told Extra at the time. “I don’t know everyone.”

“When you get to be my age and you’ve done a couple things, you have your own reality,” he said. “In my reality… I don’t hug a total stranger. I have to meet someone, say hello. I gotta start somewhere. Hug isn’t first moment of a human, two humans. I never did that.”
The comedian also poked fun at the encounter while visiting a street art interpretation of the viral moment while he was in Melbourne, Australia for his comedy gig.
