In the early 2000s, Adrian Grenier was one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Grenier played Vinnie Chase in the hit TV show Entourage — and while Vinnie’s star was on the rise, Grenier similarly shot to fame throughout the series.
The part landed him a role in the big-budget film Devil Wears Prada alongside Anne Hathaway. But for the most part, the actor seemed to drop off the radar.
Which begs the question, what happened to Grenier and where is he now?
What does Adrian Grenier do now?
Grenier is currently residing in Melbourne, Australia!
He’s filming a new Netflix series titled Clickbait. The show follows stories of how people’s uncontrolled impulses are fuelled in a social media age.
However, there’s no denying that in the years following Entourage, his acting credits slowed down. That fact wasn’t lost on Grenier.
“It’s funny because what people don’t know is I too wish that I was Vince,” he told Page Six of being typecast for his Entourage role in 2015. “I play the character. At the end of the day, I go home and I’m me. I share that fantasy as well — have a lifestyle with no consequences? Sounds great!”
Despite him pulling back from Hollywood roles, Grenier proved he had other talents up his sleeve aside from acting. He dabbled in music, pursued his passion for environmentalism, and became a philanthropist.
He was a United Nations Environment Goodwill Ambassador and supports an array of causes from sustainable foods to fighting ocean pollution.
As a music enthusiast, Grenier founded Wreckroom records and lent his vocal chops, instrumentalism and DJ skills.
Through the company, he produced albums for bands like The Skins. He also served as the drummer for the band, Honey Brothers.
While Grenier transitioned away from acting, his Entourage cast member, Kevin Dillon teamed up with the series creator Doug Ellin for a weekly podcast, titled Victory The Podcast.
Unlike his other co-stars who have all made appearances on the show, Grenier kept his distance.
In a recent interview on Greats with Garby, Ellin explained the decision saying, “He said he was in a place in his life where he’d get back. I was supposed to accept that but I don’t.”
“He’s a great guy, a great actor, there’s no one we could have gotten on the planet. It’s so hard to find a movie star, who wasn’t a movie star. He was great and I have nothing but love for him,” he added.
