“All of it is just amazing, it’s a beautiful island,” he said about Kangaroo Island in a clip shared on AdelaideNow. “There’s nature absolutely abundant, everywhere, it’s really come back in a big way since the fires, which were pretty devastating. What a gem of a place, I just love it here.”

While he was there, he got in touch with the local wildlife. He shared videos to his Instagram in which he was swimming with dolphins, and photos where he’s cuddling a baby kangaroo.

“I’ve never been that close to dolphins, that was mind-blowing,” he said in the video.

Efron’s show, Down To Earth follows him and wellness expert Daren Olien as they try to uncover healthier ways of living and explore the local food, culture and customs of the country.

The first season of the show was filmed before Efron jetted to Australia last year.

He has since made himself right at home, and started dating his current girlfriend Vanessa Valladares after meeting at Byron Bay General Store in June. Efron appears to have no intentions of moving back to the States after deciding to put his L.A. home on the market.

“As of now, he has no plans to live permanently in L.A. again,” a source previously told People. “He loves Australia and considers it his home.”

Season two of Down to Earth will premiere on Netflix in 2022.
